The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Krishnanagar, observed the auspicious occasion of Annapurna Puja with due solemnity and spiritual fervor on 26 and 27 March 2026.
The festivities commenced in the early hours with Mangalarati, followed by the chanting of Vedic Mantras and Stotras. The atmosphere was further sanctified by the rendition of devotional Bhajans and the ceremonial Chandi Patha.
The primary rituals of the day included:
- Special Puja of Sri Sri Maa Annapurna performed with traditional rites.
- Havan (Sacred Fire Labation) conducted in a meditative environment.
- Pushpanjali, where devotees offered floral tributes to the Divine Mother.
- Bhoga and Arati, marking the culmination of the morning’s spiritual proceedings.
Following the morning services, cooked Prasad was distributed to approximately 500 devotees.
In the evening, after the Sandhyarati, a session of devotional songs (Kali Kirtanam) was organized, which significantly enhanced the spiritual ambiance of the Ashrama. At the conclusion of the evening program, Prasad was distributed by hand to 200 devotees.
