Sri Sri Annapurna Puja 2026: Krishnanagar

On 26 March 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Taki, celebrated Sri Sri Annapurna Puja with traditional solemnity and spiritual fervor. The event was graced by the presence of Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math. The rituals were performed by Swami Priyananda of Ramakrishna Math, Cossipore.

Key highlights of the celebration included:

  • Devotee Participation: Over 2,000 devotees attended the puja and partook in the noon prasad.
  • Nara-Narayana Puja: A unique worship of “Living Annapurnas” was organized, where more than 100 underprivileged, widowed, and destitute women were worshipped as the Divine Mother.
  • Ritual & Offerings: Most Revered Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj personally performed the arati for these women. Each recipient was offered a garland, sandalwood paste, a cotton sari, and a monetary dakshina of 100, followed by a sumptuous meal.
