Summer Camp: Bengaluru, April – May 2023

Ramakrishna Math, Basavanagudi, organised Vasantha Vihara, a personality development summer camp for boys, from 23 April to 7 May 2023. About one hundred and forty-five boys participated in the summer camp. They were divided into three batches. There were two batches of boys aged 11-13 (middle school) and one with boys aged 14-17 (high school). The theme of this year’s Vasantha Vihara was ‘Life of Swami Vivekananda’ for middle school students and ‘Building Resurgent India’ for high school students. Subject-matter experts, monastics and non-monastics, from various fields such as yoga, music, martial arts, agriculture, astronomy, and moral science, conducted several interactive classes. The high school boys were also taken on a tour of the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and Ramakrishna Mission, Shivanahalli. We concluded the summer camp with Mata-Pitr Vandana and a talent show.
