Ramakrishna Mission, Kadapa successfully organized a summer camp for children between the ages of 8 and 16. Held from May 5th to 19th, 2024, the camp attracted 125 enthusiastic participants.
Daily Activities:
- Spiritual Development: The camp day began with chanting prayers (Prarthana Shlokas) followed by yoga exercises (Yogasanas).
- Learning and Inspiration: After breakfast, students delved into devotional hymns (Stotras) and spiritual songs (Bhajans). Inspiring moral stories based on the lives of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and other great personalities were shared to impart valuable life lessons.
- Outdoor Adventure: The camp included a memorable trek to the scenic Palakondalu hillock nearby.
- Respect for Elders: To inculcate respect for elders, the camp incorporated a special Padapuja ceremony where children performed a puja for their parents.
- Healthy Competition: The camp fostered a spirit of healthy competition through various engaging activities, in which the children participated wholeheartedly.
Grand Finale:
The camp culminated in a grand concluding ceremony held on May 19th. Revered Swami Turiyananda Saraswathiji, the esteemed chief guest from Chinmaya Mission, Kadapa, delivered an inspirational speech that motivated the young minds. Winners of the various competitions were also felicitated during the ceremony.
