150th Birth Anniversary Sister Nivedita was celebrated at Ramakrishna Mission Tirupati on Saturday, 28th October, 2017. In this connection a Symposium was organised on the topic “Bharateeya Nivedita”.
Sri N. Satyanarayana Raju, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati, delivered a speech on Sister Nivedita’s immense contribution towards Indian freedom movement, arts, culture and womens education. Andhra Bank Assistant General Manager Sri Krishna Mohan and well-known physician Dr. Leela, were the guests of honour.
250 students from 10 colleges under Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, attended the programme. 170 students submitted essays, 26 students participated in the Symposium and 8 prizes were distributed.
