Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati, organised a Summer Camp – 2026 for school students from 4 May to 24 May 2026. Fifty-seven children participated in the camp with notable enthusiasm throughout its duration.
The camp offered a comprehensive programme aimed at the physical, intellectual, and spiritual development of the young participants. Training was imparted in yoga asanas, Vedic chanting, guided meditation, and bhajans. The students were also instructed in Bhagavad Gita recitation, drawing, and traditional craft activities including garland making. Traditional Indian games were incorporated to foster a spirit of camaraderie and cultural rootedness. Value-based moral education was imparted through inspiring stories, and the students learned and recited select quotations of Swami Vivekananda. Nutritious breakfast was served to all participants each day throughout the camp.
A special Vidyarthi Homa was conducted on 17 May 2026 for the welfare and spiritual upliftment of the student participants.
The valedictory function was held on 24 May 2026. Prof. Rani Sadasiva Murty, Vice-Chancellor, S. V. Vedic University, TTD, Tirupati, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri A. D. Rangarajan, Special Correspondent of The Hindu for Tirupati and Kadapa, attended as the Guest of Honour and addressed the assembled students. Swami Sukritananda also delivered inspiring messages to the students and their parents.
The students presented cultural programmes and demonstrations, showcasing the skills and values acquired over the course of the camp. Approximately 150 parents and devotees attended the concluding function. Books were distributed to all students and volunteers, and cooked prasadam was served to all attendees at the close of the programme.
