Teachers’ Rejuvenation Camp: Thanjavur, May 2026

Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur

Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, organised a one-day Teachers’ Rejuvenation Camp on 16 May 2026 at its Vivekananda Empowerment Centre, for the teaching staff of Sri Sarada Vidyavanam Higher Secondary School, Simmakkal, Madurai.

The camp was designed to reinvigorate and inspire the participants through a well-structured and varied programme. Sessions on bhajans, group discussions, role-play activities, and Brain Gym exercises were conducted, each contributing to the holistic renewal of the educators. The proceedings were further enriched by collective prayer, fostering a spirit of unity and shared purpose among the attendees.

Dr. Mathangi, Head, Department of Mind Body Medicine and Lifestyle Sciences, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, conducted thoughtful and practical sessions centred on the understanding of slow learners. Emphasis was placed on the importance of approaching such students with patience, sympathy, and motherly concern — drawing upon both clinical insight and human compassion to equip educators with strategies for inclusive and empathetic teaching.

Swami Vimurtananda delivered an address titled “Impress, Express, Import, Impart,” in which he underscored the sacred vocation of the teacher as a moulder of young minds and a builder of the nation’s future. His words served as both an affirmation of the teacher’s noble responsibility and a call to pursue that calling with renewed dedication and spiritual purpose.

The camp succeeded in offering the participants a meaningful and restorative experience, equipping them with fresh inspiration, practical tools, and a deepened sense of their role as guides and mentors to the youth entrusted to their care.
