The Centres of Ramakrishna Mission in Shillong and Sohra in collaboration with NEIGRIHMS (North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences) Hospital, Shillong, have started telemedicine centre to provide medical assistance to patients of Meghalaya in specialized domains like Neurology, Oncology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Dental, Paediatrics, ENT, Urology and Psychiatry.
Mr. A. K. Borthakur, Sr. General Manager, Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd., formally inaugurated the Telemedicine Consultancy Centre in Ramakrishna Mission Charitable Dispensary, Laitumkhrah on 5 December 2020. This is the first Telemedicine clinic managed by an NGO in Meghalaya.
