Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore organised a series of competitions on 11 September 2026 to mark the 133rd Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago Address.
Oratorical competitions based on selected passages from Swami Vivekananda’s works were held at the school, post-matric, and college levels in both English and Tamil, with a total of 740 students participating. An Online Oratorical Competition was also conducted in two categories — Classes VIII–X and Classes XI–XII — in which 114 students participated. An Online Quiz Competition on the “Life and Message of Swami Vivekananda” was held for the general public, with 202 participants.
In total, 6 students won prizes in the in-person oratorical competitions, 6 students won prizes in the online oratorical competition, and 3 winners were selected in the online quiz. Winners were presented with mementos, books, and cash prizes.
