Universal Brotherhood Day 2026: Ranchi-Morabadi

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi-Morabadi observed Universal Brotherhood Day on 11 September 2026 to commemorate the 133rd Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic participation in the World’s Parliament of Religions, Chicago.

The programme commenced with the chanting of Vedic hymns, followed by devotional music. Representatives of Buddhism, Sikhism, and Hinduism addressed the gathering, each highlighting the universal aspects of their respective traditions. Monks of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi-Morabadi also spoke, drawing upon Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address to reflect on the harmony underlying all religions.

Students of the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Morabadi, delivered speeches on Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address and its continuing relevance. A devotional group performance and a skit were also presented by the students and trainees.

The programme was attended by monks, teachers, students, trainees, devotees, and distinguished guests. Total participation exceeded 300 persons.
