Ramakrishna Math, Rajkot, organised a Youth Convention on Thursday, 11th September 2025, to commemorate the historic speech delivered by Swami Vivekananda at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago on 11th September 1893.
The convention featured inspiring speeches by Dr. Mansukhbhai Mandaviya, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports; Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Member – HR, Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, New Delhi; Shri Sharad Vivek Sagar, Founder and CEO, Dexterity Global, Patna; Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, Founder, Chanakya International Institute of Leadership Studies, Mumbai; and Padmashree Dr. Arunima Sinha, the first female amputee to climb Mount Everest.
The programme also included the screening of inspiring videos and a documentary on Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago address. About 500 youths participated in the convention. Each participant received a set of books on Swami Vivekananda.
