Ramakrishna Math, Konampatti organised a series of Value Education Programmes and Cultural Book Fairs at several schools in Sattur and Sivakasi during August 2026, with the aim of fostering moral and spiritual values among young students.
Sattur — S.H.N. Ethel Harvey Girls Higher Secondary School (4–6 August)
On 4 August, a Value Education Programme was conducted for eleventh-class students of S.H.N. Ethel Harvey Girls Higher Secondary School, Sattur, with approximately 300 students and teachers in attendance. This was followed by a two-day Cultural Book Fair and Exhibition on Swami Vivekananda on 5 and 6 August at the same venue, inaugurated by the school Principal. Approximately 1,876 students and numerous teachers visited the exhibition and availed themselves of literature published by the centres of the Ramakrishna Order.
Sattur — S.H.N. Edward Higher Secondary School and Middle School (10–11 August)
Value Education Programmes were conducted at S.H.N. Edward Higher Secondary School and the Middle School, Sattur, on 10 and 11 August, with approximately 680 students participating. A one-day Cultural Book Fair was also held on 10 August at the same venue, drawing approximately 400 students.
Sivakasi and Sattur — Rotary Mat. Hr. Sec. School and K. C. A. D. Chidambaram Gnanagiri Mat. Hr. Sec. School (18 and 20 August)
Value Education Programmes and Cultural Book Fairs were conducted at Rotary Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Sivakasi, and K. C. A. D. Chidambaram Gnanagiri Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Sattur, on 18 and 20 August respectively, at their school premises. The Principals and Correspondents of both institutions extended enthusiastic support and made commendable arrangements for the programmes. Approximately 300 students participated in the interactive Value Education Programmes, and 1,496 students visited the book fairs and acquired literature published by the centres of the Ramakrishna Order.
