Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani, organised the final round of a quiz competition together with a youth conference under the theme “Vivek Jijnasa,” in association with the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Gol Park, Kolkata, on 21 June 2026.
The final quiz brought together the best-performing students from preliminary quiz competitions held over the preceding two months at Kalyani, Ranaghat, Krishnanagar, and Bethuadahari, representing fourteen centres affiliated with the Swami Vivekananda Bhavanuragi Yuva Sammelan, Jila Samity, Nadia.
The day-long programme, comprising two sessions, commenced at 10.00 a.m. in the Vivekananda Sabhagriha at the Ashrama premises with Vedic chanting, followed by a welcome address from the Ashrama Secretary. The forenoon session featured the quiz competition, in which 49 students participated with enthusiasm.
The Youth Conference began at 2.00 p.m. As part of the observance of International Yoga Day 2026, a guided yoga session was conducted, with active participation from a number of students. Students also delivered extempore speeches during the session. Prizes for the quiz competition were distributed in the afternoon, with awards given to the top three position-holders as well as to all participating students.
Swami Ishtavratananda from the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Gol Park, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and addressed the gathering with a motivational speech for the benefit of the young participants.
All attendees were served morning refreshments and noon prasad. The programme concluded at 4.00 p.m. with peace chanting.
