On March 12, 2025, a water conservation awareness program sponsored by NABARD, Ranchi, was organized by Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi, in Lavagada, Budmu Block. Agricultural Engineer O.P. Sharma from the institute and Mr. Satyanarayan Munda, head of Budmu Block, provided detailed information on water conservation techniques.
The main objective of this program was to raise awareness about water conservation among the villagers. In Lavagada, efforts have been made to retain water through TCB (Trench Cum Bund) and CCT (Continuous Contour Trenching), which has gradually raised the water level in the village. Several programs to promote organic farming have been organized in this area by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Morabadi, Ranchi, leading to significant agricultural development among the villagers.
Hundreds of farmers from Lavagada and surrounding areas attended the awareness program. On this occasion, Krishna Mahato, Akhilesh Mahato, Mukesh Mahato, Laleshwar Kumar, Sukhlal Mahato, and many others from Lavagada were present.
