Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip observed Republic Day on Monday, 26 January 2026, with patriotic fervour and enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, guardians, and local residents. The winter sports competition was also conducted on the same day, adding joy and vibrancy to the occasion.
Morning Programme
The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Swami Amareshwarananda in the playground, attended by students, teachers, and guardians of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP), Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa (VAP), and the Free Coaching Centre (FCC).
Following the flag hoisting, all participants sang the Indian National Anthem in chorus. Breakfast was then served to everyone present.
Sports Events
A variety of engaging events were conducted for students, including:
- Sprint
- Arithmetic run
- Balance run
- Biscuit run
- Orange run
- Go-as-you-like
Teachers also participated enthusiastically in slow cycling and balance run events. Throughout the programme, guardians and local people actively encouraged the participants, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere.
Prasad Distribution and Prize Ceremony
Participants were served lunch-prasad after the sports events.
In the afternoon, prizes were distributed to the winners and participants by the dignitaries, marking a joyful conclusion to the day’s celebrations.
