As part of the commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s historic visit to Thanjavur, Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, organized a two-day Youth Camp for students of Sarada Niketan Women’s College, Amaravathipudur, Karaikudi, Sivagangai District, Tamil Nadu. A total of 40 students participated. The camp aimed to introduce the teachings and inspiring personality of Swami Vivekananda to the younger generation through interactive sessions, discussions, and practical activities.

Day 1 – Friday, 30 January 2026
The first day featured a variety of enriching and engaging activities:
- Traditional and devotional bhajans, setting a spiritual tone for the camp.
- Women’s health session by Dr. Kalaimagal (Naturopathy), focusing on holistic well-being.
- Joyful games to promote bonding and teamwork among participants.
- Panel discussion on “Problems Faced by Today’s Women and Their Solutions”, moderated by Adv. Seethal, encouraging open dialogue and confidence-building.
- Address by Swami Vimurtananda, highlighting Swamiji’s ideal of holistic strength—integrating the body, heart, intellect, vitality, and Atman.
- Talk on Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi by Prof. Indiramma, inspiring participants through Her life and teachings.
- Collective Arati to the Holy Trio followed by Kumkum Archana.
- Yoga practice and a concluding satsanga, providing physical relaxation and spiritual reflection.
Day 2 – Saturday, 31 January 2026
The second day included inspirational and skill-building sessions:
- Motivational address by Nurse Nirmala, recipient of TIME magazine’s “Hero of the Planet” award, known for over 700 safe deliveries, sharing her real-life experiences and dedication to service.
- Benediction and awareness videos by Swami Vimurtananda, giving deeper insights into values and purposeful living.
- Asana training by Smt. Bhanu Nivedita, emphasizing physical fitness and mental balance.
Conclusion
The Youth Camp concluded on a highly positive note, leaving participants inspired and enriched. Students expressed renewed enthusiasm, deeper understanding of Swami Vivekananda’s ideals, and greater confidence to face life’s challenges with strength and clarity.
