15 August 2022 : Ramakrishna Math, Cooch Behar, organised Youth Convention as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatotsav’ where the students of Vivekananda Vidyapith & the ashrama hostel inmates participated.
Programme comprises of National Flag hoisting, Parade by the students, inaugural song and chanting of Vedic Mantra by our hostel students, songs on Swami Vivekananda, chanting Swadesh Mantra, short speeches lecture on Swamijis ideas.
Swami Shiveshananda, Swami Tarakeshwarananda, Swami Girishatmananda and Swami Vijneyananda spoke on various ideas of Swami Vivekananda. Two students spoke on Swami Vivekananda’s appeal to the youths.
77 students and 2 teachers attended the programme. The ashrama distributed books on Swamiji to all students & teachers.
On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Ramakrishna Math, Cooch Behar, organised Youth Conventions at Manindra Nath High School on 2 Aug 2022, Jenkins School on 3 Aug 2022, Baneswar Girls High School on 4 Aug 2022, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidalaya on 5 Aug 2022 and Maharani Indira Devi Girls High School on 6 Aug 2022.
Swami Vijneyananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Cooch Behar, Swami Bhudebananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Bolepur, and Swami Purneswarananda, Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, were the main speakers, who spoke on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda in modern India, as well as, Swamiji’s influence in the regeneration of India, motivating youth for rebuilding the future India, and awakening the inner strength of women.
All total 820 students and 112 teachers participated in the Youth conventions.
