On 19 February 2026, the auspicious occasion of Sri Ramakrishna Jayanti, the Ramakrishna Math, Kanchipuram, inaugurated a new service initiative titled “Annapoorani Annai Sri Saradadevi Anna Daana Seva”. This programme is dedicated to provide food to individuals in need.
Service Details
- Nature of Service: Provision of unlimited lunch Prasad.
- Frequency: 365 days a year, with no holidays.
- Time: Daily between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm.
- Venue: The Ashrama campus, situated on the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway.
Beneficiaries
The service primarily supports approximately 200 caretaker relatives of inpatients staying at the Government Cancer Institute, located directly opposite the Ashrama. These beneficiaries typically belong to economically challenged backgrounds and travel from various parts of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry to receive medical care.

- A rotating vegetable-based rice dish (Vegetable rice, Tomato rice, Brinjal rice, Lemon rice, or Puliyodarai).
- Curd rice.
