During the last week of February 2026, the Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, conducted a series of impactful Values Education and Cultural Enrichment programmes at the Vivekananda Empowerment Centre, from 23 February 2026 to 27 February 2026. These sessions were designed to instill moral values, promote physical wellness, and inspire academic and entrepreneurial ambition among students from various institutions.
Programme Details
1. Values Education Programme (23 February 2026)
- Participants: 75 female students from Poondi Pushpam College, Thanjavur.
- Key Teachings:
- The essential role of discipline in personal and academic success.
- The significance of health and self-confidence.
- Understanding that academic success flourishes when the mind is cheerful.
- Cultivating spiritual awareness through prayer.
- Resource Persons: Ms. S. Sheetal (Young Advocate), Dr. Kalaimagal (Naturopathic Physician), and Swami Vimurtananda.
2. Youth Motivation and Entrepreneurship (25 February 2026)
- Participants: 70 male students from Poondi Pushpam College.
- Key Sessions:
- Sri Madhav Sethurajan (18-year-old CEO) spoke on entrepreneurship and business opportunities for modern youth.
- Sri R. Senthilnathan (AI enthusiast) motivated students toward continuous learning in emerging technologies.
- Discussions on health and well-being.
- Swami Vimurtananda shared the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
3. Sri Sarada Devi Children’s Cultural Training (26 February 2026)
- Participants: 45 students from Vivekanandam Vidyashram Senior Secondary School, Tiruvarur.
- Programme Highlights:
- An energetic Yoga session followed by prayer and Pushpanjali.
- Storytelling session titled “Listen to the Story; Listen with Meaning!” by Smt. Umaiyal Subbu.
- Joyful games and activities designed for children.
- A concluding motivational talk by Swami Vimurtananda.
4. Value Education and Wellness Programme (27 February 2026)
- Participants: 82 students from the Yoga Wing and NSS of NIFTEM-T (National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management – Thanjavur).
- Key Sessions:
- Readings from the works of Swami Vivekananda.
- Talk: “Your Real Wealth is Your Health” by Dr. Kalaimagal (BNYS).
- Meditation and prayer led by Swami Vimurtananda.
- Special Lecture: “Awareness Leads to Greatness” by Prof. Poornachandran.
- Special Talk: Indian traditional ideas on food by Swami Vimurtananda.
