The Annual Celebration of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Garbeta was observed across four days in July 2026 with devotion and spiritual fervour. Devotees from Garbeta and the surrounding areas participated in large numbers.
On 24 July, the celebrations commenced with a Special Puja, Bhoga, and the recitation of Sri Sri Chandi in the Shrine, dedicated to the Holy Trio, accompanied by Vedic hymns and bhajans. In the evening, the Sri Sri Kali Puja was performed with traditional rituals and Kali Kirtan by the monks of the Order.
On 25 July, a Bhakta Sammelan was held, featuring devotional songs, spiritual readings, and lectures by monks of the Ramakrishna Order on the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. Approximately 500 devotees attended, and around 650 devotees partook of the sanctified noon Prasad. In the evening, a Special Spiritual Retreat was conducted in the presence of Swami Balabhadrananda ji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, who delivered an inspiring spiritual discourse. Nearly 400 devotees attended the evening programme.
On 29 July, Guru Purnima was observed with a Special Puja, Bhoga, and Homa of Sri Ramakrishna in the morning, followed by a Bhakta Sammelan comprising Vedic chanting, meditation, devotional songs, spiritual readings, and discourses by monks of the Order on the significance of Guru Purnima and the ideal of the Guru in the Vedantic tradition. 600 devotees attended the celebration, concluding with the distribution of noon Prasad.
On 29 and 30 July, a Special Residential Spiritual Retreat was conducted for 23 devotees, with daily sessions of Vedic chanting, guided meditation, devotional songs, and interactive spiritual discourses by the monks of the Ashrama. Each evening, participants gathered in the Shrine for Evening Prayers and Arati. The retreat concluded with prayers for universal peace and the spiritual welfare of all.
