Annual Conference of Uttar Purvanchal-2 Bhava Prachar Yuva Parishad: Guwahati, June 2026

The 1st Annual Conference of the Uttar Purvanchal-2 Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Yuva Parishad was held on 27th June 2026 at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati. The conference brought together monks, office bearers of Bhava Prachar Parishads, Yuva Parishad Conveners, Youth Coordinators, and representatives from member Ashramas across the region. 26 Ashramas out of 27 Ashramas attended the conference.

Revered Swami Balabhadrananda ji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, and Convener, Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Yuva Parishad Central Committee, Belur Math, attended the conference as Headquarters’ Representative.

The programme commenced with floral tributes to Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, followed by Vedic chanting, devotional songs, inspirational readings, and enlightened talks and interactive discussions by the monks and office bearers of the Parishad.

Swami Achyuteshananda, Chief Advisor of the Yuva Parishad, highlighted the vital role of the Yuva Vibhag and Yuva Parishad, noting that it serves as a platform for developing leadership, discipline, self-confidence, and social responsibility.

Swami Atmashuddhananda, President of the Yuva Parishad; Swami Vedasarananda; Swami Anuraganananda; Swami Hitakamananda; and Swami Jnanamritananda, Advisors of the Yuva Parishad, spoke on various topics relevant to the Yuva Parishad and inspired the youths to build character while serving others.

Shri Swapan Kumar Dutta, Vice-President of the Yuva Parishad, explained the organisational framework and constitution of the Yuva Parishad and presented the current status of youth activities.

Revered Swami Balabhadrananda ji Maharaj, Convener of the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Yuva Parishad Central Committee, Belur Math, conducted an interactive session emphasizing the importance of regular Pathachakras (Study Circles) and meditation. He further spoke on sustainable youth work and inner transformation, and demonstrated proper methodology for organizing study circles and meditation sessions. In his concluding remarks, Revered Maharaj ji reiterated that the future of the Ramakrishna Movement depends upon dedicated and spiritually awakened youth committed to purity, discipline, devotion, service, and organized work.

The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Rohan Dutta, followed by the singing of Ramakrishna Sharanam and Jayadhwani.
