Ramakrishna Mission Malliankaranai distributed grocery kits, in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic second wave, from 01 – 10 June 2021. The ashrama has distributed groceries kits to 800 families.
10 June 2021: The Malliankaranai centre distributed grocery items to 27 families of physically challenged persons of Thiruppulivanam, near Malliankaranai Centre.
09 June 2021: The Malliankaranai centre distributed grocery items to 42 families of a Tribal Community in Puzhuthivakkam, near Malliankaranai Centre.
08 June 2021: The Malliankaranai centre distributed grocery items to 85 families of Load Van Drivers (20), Porters (29), Village Tuition Centre Teachers (22) and Village Temple Pujaris (14).
04 June 2021: The Malliankaranai centre distributed the grocery items to the 108 families of private school teachers who are not getting salary for past many months and 38 transgender persons.
03 June 2021: The Malliankaranai centre distributed grocery kits to 218 poor Tribal Settlement families.
02 June 2021: Ramakrishna Mission Malliankaranai distributed groceries to 159 poor families of Kadalmangalam Village (80) and Vinobha Nagar (79).
01 June 2021: The Malliankaranai centre distributed groceries to 123 poor families of Malliankaranai Village. The distribution was done in the Ashrama due to the present grave situation of the pandemic.
Each grocery kit contained 1 kg Toor Dal, 1 kg Moong dal, 1Kg Urad Dal, 0.5 Kg Bengal Gram Dal, 1 litre Cooking Oil, 2 kg Sugar, 1 kg Samiya, 1 kg Suji, 100 gms Pepper, 100 gms Jeera, 100 gms Mustard, 100 gms Turmeric Powder, 1 kg Salt, 2 Washing Soap, 100 gms Colgate Tooth Paste and 1 pc Bathing Soap.
