Ramakrishna Mission, Viveknagar, Agartala, successfully executed a major health initiative spanning August and September 2025, providing specialized medical and vision care to marginalized communities.
Vision Care Project (Eye Camp)
In a collaboration with the Tripura Medical College and the Rotary Club of Agartala City, an Eye Camp was organized on August 22, 2025.
This was followed by a dedicated “Camp for Distribution of Spectacles” held at the Viveknagar centre on September 26, 2025. Through this comprehensive vision project, a total of 838 persons were successfully benefited.
Special Medical and Orthopaedic Camps
The Viveknagar centre also arranged several focused medical outreach programmes, treating a wide range of ailments:
General Medical Camps: Special Medical Camps were held on September 7th, 16th, and 20th, 2025, covering the localities of Narsimgarh (West Tripura) and Udaipur (Gomati District). These camps provided free treatment and distributed free medicines, benefiting a total of 161 patients.
Orthopaedic Camp: A specialized Orthopaedic Treatment Camp was arranged at Viveknagar on September 16, 2025. This camp was conducted in association with a noted hospital from Kolkata and successfully provided care to 67 patients.
