On the occasion of the Amrit Mahotsava – 75th Year Celebration, the newly constructed Amrita Bhavan (a multipurpose hall) and the new classrooms of the Vivekananda Coaching Centre at Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, were inaugurated on Sunday, 14th September 2025 at 10 a.m. by Srimat Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.
The occasion was graced by Swami Muktidanandaji, Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysore, along with about 15 monks from various centres of the Order. The programme began with Shodashopachara Puja and Homa in the newly built hall.
This was followed by a stage function presided over by Revered Maharaj, during which a new brochure of the Ashrama activities was released and a documentary showcasing the Mission’s work in Mangaluru was launched. Several volunteers and institutions were honoured for their dedicated association and contributions to the Ashrama.
The celebration was attended by over a thousand devotees and well-wishers. All were served lunch prasad, after which the programme concluded with a soulful Santavani concert by Pandit Anand Bhate, disciple of Late Pandit Bhimsen Joshi.
