Inauguration of Eco-friendly Public Utility Toilet Complex: Morabadi, Ranchi, April 2026

A state-of-the-art, eco-friendly public utility toilet complex was officially inaugurated today at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi. The facility was consecrated by Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj, Vice President of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.

The project was made possible through the exclusive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding of Hindustan Copper Limited. Shri Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Hindustan Copper Limited, graced the occasion virtually.


Sustainable Design & Green Technology

The complex is a model of modern green engineering, prioritizing sustainability and inclusivity:

  • Inclusive Access: Dedicated sections for men, women, and persons with disabilities.
  • Solar Powered: A 3-kW solar power system meets the facility’s energy needs, supplemented by transparent roofing that maximizes natural daylight.
  • Water Conservation: Features an integrated rooftop rainwater harvesting mechanism.
  • Hygiene & Comfort: Designed with high-standard ventilation systems and premium hygiene protocols to serve the Ashrama’s visitors, trainees, and community members.

Ceremony Highlights

The inauguration was attended by prominent monks and members of the Ashrama’s management committee, including Shri V. K. Gaddyan (President) and Shri Puneet Poddar. The event served as a significant step forward in the Ashrama’s mission to provide essential, sustainable infrastructure to the public.

The program concluded with a traditional distribution of Prasad to all guests and attendees.
