On January 25, 2026, Ramakrishna Math, Chandipur, celebrated a momentous occasion marked by the presence of Revered Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
Inauguration of “Chandramani Sadhu Nivas”
During the afternoon session, Revered Maharaj inaugurated the newly constructed senior monks’ quarter, named “Chandramani Sadhu Nivas.” It is significant to note that the foundation stone for this building was previously blessed by Most Revered President Maharaj, Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj.
Evening Dharmasabha
Following the inauguration, a Dharmasabha (spiritual congregation) was held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birth Anniversary Hall.
- Welcome & Commencement: Swami Vinishchayananda, Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math, Chandipur, formally welcomed Revered Maharaj. The program began with an inaugural song dedicated to the Holy Trio, performed by Swami Mayadhishanandaji.
- Attendance: The assembly saw a gathering of monks from Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram, Tamluk, and Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram, Contai, alongside the resident monks and local devotees.
- Recognition of Contributors: In a gesture of appreciation, Revered Suviranandaji Maharaj personally presented blessings and gifts to the craftsmen and primary contributors responsible for the construction of Chandramani Sadhu Nivas.
- Spiritual Discourse: For 50 minutes, Revered Maharaj delivered a captivating discourse on the holy thoughts and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, deeply touching the hearts of the gathered devotees.
- Conclusion: The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Sri Brahmamay Nanda, followed by the chanting of “Ramakrishna Sharanam” led by Swami Ramanathanandaji Maharaj.
Devotional Gathering and Prasad
After the Dharmasabha, monks and devotees offered their Pranams to Revered Maharaj. To celebrate the joy of his visit, cooked Prasad was served to approximately 585 devotees.
