Inauguration of STEM Lab: Hatamuniguda, September 2025

The Infosys Foundation STEM lab at the school of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda, Odisha was inaugurated by Capt. Shanthi S, Senior Programme Director, Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru, on Wednesday, 24 September 2025. The plaque was unveiled amid Vedic chanting, and arati was offered to the Holy Trio inside the lab to mark the inauguration.

Following the inauguration, a programme was held in the Vivekananda Hall. The audience was welcomed by Swami Gitatmananda, Secretary, who, in his address, highlighted the diverse educational benefits and opportunities offered by the STEM lab. Subsequently, two students spoke about how the Infosys Foundation Scholarship and the STEM Lab had greatly benefited them and their fellow students.

The significance of the STEM lab as a boon to the school, enhancing scientific learning and innovation among students, was emphasized by the Principal, Shri Ranganath Banerjee. The chief guest, Capt. Shanthi S, in her address, underscored the vision of the Infosys Foundation in nurturing young minds.

A total of 123 students from the school participated in the Swachh Bharat Art Competition conducted by the National Education and Human Resource Development Organisation, Mumbai. At the national level, 13 trophies and 8 gold medals were secured by the students.

Later, certificates, medals, and trophies were distributed by the chief guest to the winners of the competition at the state and national levels. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Swami Prabhuvarananda.
