On the International Day of Yoga, Ramakrishna Mission Students Home, Chennai embraced the theme “Yoga for Self and Society” Yoga, a practice fostering transformation, embodies the harmony of mind and body, the balance between thought and action, and the union of discipline and fulfillment.
The Students’ Home organized and celebrated the International Day of Yoga with enthusiastic participation from Polytechnic College and Residential High School students. Under the guidance of Yoga Master Sri K. Vijesh from Yogalaya Cultural Academy, Chennai, the students displayed their skills in various yoga postures (asanas).
The program was graced by Chief Guest Sri Dr. V. Parthiban, Assistant Professor & Head-in-Charge of the Center for Yoga at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chengalpattu. Other dignitaries were also present. Dr. Parthiban addressed the importance of yoga practice, commending the students on their excellent performance.
Swami Satyajnanananda, Secretary of Chennai Students’ Home, elaborated on the theme “Yoga for Self and Society,” encouraging the students to integrate yoga into their daily lives.
