With the generous support of the Infosys Foundation, the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda, successfully conducted a Maternity and Child Welfare Services Programme. This initiative was dedicated to improving the health and nutritional status of mothers and young children from the local community.
Beneficiaries
The programme provided essential care and support to a total of 101 beneficiaries:
- Mothers: 53 (including both antenatal and postnatal cases).
- Children: 48 (aged up to 3 years).
Services Provided
The Ashrama ensured a holistic approach to wellness by providing the following:
- Medical Care: Comprehensive general health check-ups and the distribution of necessary medicines.
- Nutritional Support: Each participant received a kit containing vital food supplements, including Soya Chunks, Moong Dal, Masur Dal, Rajma, Flattened Rice, Chhatu, Dates, Iodized Salt, and Cerelac stage 2 baby cereals.
- Hygiene Support: Bath soaps were provided to all beneficiaries.
- Expert Counselling: Qualified doctors conducted sessions on maternal care, nutritional awareness, and pre- and post-natal wellbeing.
