Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Midnapore, organised the third phase of its Maternity & Child Care Project Medical Camp on Sunday, 14 September 2025, at Kuchakala, Salboni, Paschim Medinipur, with the financial support of the Infosys Foundation through Belur Math. This initiative was aimed at providing maternity and child welfare services to needy families.
A total of 147 beneficiaries (32 women and 115 children) from 147 families were treated and provided with medicines and maternity–child care kits. The beneficiaries included 97 SC, 1 ST, 17 OBC, and 32 General category patients.
The medical team consisted of:
- Dr. B. Dutta (MBBS, DCH)
- Dr. Dukha Mandi (MBBS, MD, DCH)
- Dr. Himadri Nayek (MBBS, MS)
They were assisted by para-medical staff:
- Sri Ganga Prasad Bhowmik
- Sri Sudhangshu Maity
Each family received a maternity & child care kit consisting of:
- Babool Toothpaste (100 gm) – 1
- Toothbrush – 1
- Vivel Body Soap (50 gm) – 1
- Aloe Vera Cream (50 gm) – 1
- Sanitary Pad – 1
- Dettol Hand Wash – 1
- Tissue Papers – 5 pcs
- Nail Cutter – 1
- Comb – 1
- Dettol Liquid (50 ml) – 1
- Horlicks Nutrition Food (500 gm) – 1
This camp brought much-needed medical attention, hygiene items, and nutritional support to vulnerable mothers and children in the region, strengthening the Ashrama’s ongoing commitment to healthcare and welfare services.
