Maternity and Child Welfare Services: Sribhumi, February 2026

Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi, Assam


Under the Maternity and Child Welfare Services Project, funded by the Infosys Foundation, Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi Ashrama organised two medical camps aimed at improving the health of pregnant mothers, lactating mothers, and children up to three years of age.


1. Medical Camp at Umapati Village

Date: 5 February 2025

A medical camp was conducted at Umapati village of Sribhumi district, Assam.

  • Beneficiaries: 55 mothers and 55 children
  • Doctor: Dr. Atanubijoy Das
  • All beneficiaries received medical check-ups, consultation, and health guidance.

Nutritious food kits distributed included:

  • Protein powder – 2 packets
  • Cerelac – 1 packet
  • Masoor dal – 1 kg
  • Gram (chana) – 1 kg
  • Soyabean bari – 500 g

The camp was conducted smoothly, and the beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude.


2. Medical Camp at Maiz Gram Village

Date: 12 February 2026

A second medical camp was held at Maiz Gram village of Sribhumi district, Assam.

  • Beneficiaries: 97 mothers and 85 children
  • Doctor: Dr. Atanubijoy Das
  • Medical consultation and necessary health advice were provided.

Nutritious food kits distributed included:

  • Protein powder – 2 packets
  • Cerelac – 1 packet
  • Masoor dal – 1 kg
  • Gram (chana) – 1 kg
  • Soyabean bari – 500 g

The programme served its objectives effectively and was appreciated by all beneficiaries.
