In celebration of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Math, Puri, organized two comprehensive medical camps on 12 and 13 January 2026. These camps were specifically conducted to provide essential healthcare services to the residents of two slum areas within the town.


Service Highlights

The initiative focused on delivering high-quality, free healthcare to underprivileged sections of the community. The key features of the service included:

  • Specialized Consultation: Two specialist doctors were present to attend to the patients, ensuring professional medical diagnosis and advice.
  • Treatment and Pharmacy: In addition to free check-ups, the Math provided necessary treatments and medicines free of cost to all attendees.

The camps successfully reached a significant number of individuals in need:

  • Locations: Two targeted slum areas in Puri town.

Conclusion

The medical camps concluded as a successful tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s ideal of “Shiva Jnane Jiva Seva” (Serving God in man). Through the dedicated service of the attending specialists and the Math’s resources, 208 patients received critical medical attention and support.
