Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, organized two free medical camps on February 16, 2025, providing valuable healthcare services to the community.
1. Free Cataract Surgery Camp:
- Conducted in collaboration with Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai.
- Screening: 153 outpatients were examined (69 male, 81 female, 3 children).
- Surgery: 44 cataract surgeries were performed at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, on February 21, 2025.
- Spectacles: 20 patients received free spectacles.
2. Free Diabetic Checkup Camp:
- Conducted in collaboration with Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Speciality Centre, Madurai.
- Screening: 150 patients were screened (70 male, 80 female).
- Diagnosis: 80 patients were diagnosed with diabetes.
- Treatment: Diabetic patients received prescribed medicines and diet charts from a qualified dietitian.
