In connection with the launch of the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” campaign of the Government of India, inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal organised a series of drug awareness and prevention programmes spanning May and August 2026. Approximately 1,100 students, teachers, lecturers, and devotees participated across these events.

The programmes collectively sought to sensitise the youth and the wider community to the grave consequences of drug abuse, while fostering awareness of the legal framework governing narcotic substances in India. The initiative reflects the Centre’s sustained commitment to the social and moral well-being of the people of Manipur.
