As part of the nationwide National Sports Day 2026 campaign observed across India under the theme “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat,” Ramakrishna Math, Rajkot organised a series of sporting and developmental activities on 30 August 2026, engaging youth from its ongoing educational and outreach programmes.
Vivekananda Service Corps
Students from Class 8 to the college level, enrolled in the Vivekananda Service Corps, participated enthusiastically in the day’s events. A total of 64 students took part. Of these, 44 students competed in two Kabaddi matches, while 20 students gave a demonstration of martial arts, showcasing their discipline and physical vigour in the spirit of Swami Vivekananda’s ideal of strength.
Personality Development Project
Students of Classes 8 and 9, enrolled in the Personality Development Project, were engaged in a range of indoor concentration games and adventurous activities. A total of 40 students participated actively, the session being designed to foster focus, resilience, and wholesome character.
The events reflected the Math’s commitment to nurturing the physical, mental, and moral development of youth, in consonance with the Ramakrishna Order’s long-standing emphasis on “man-making” education.
