On November 28, 2025, Ramakrishna Math (Balaram Mandir), Kolkata, conducted its annual Winter Relief Service. The initiative was organized to provide essential protection against the cold for the underprivilegRamakrishna Math (Balaram Mandir), Kolkata organised a special celebration on the occasion of National Sports Day on 29 August 2026. The programme was held in collaboration with Maharaja Kashimbazar Polytechnic Institute, Kolkata, and saw the active participation of more than 100 students from the institute.

Swami Suparnananda’s address highlighted the importance of sports and physical activity in the all-round development of young students, motivating them to engage actively in games and athletic pursuits.
Copies of Swami Vivekananda’s book Bharater Punargathan were distributed among the student participants. Laddus were provided to all attendees, and special food and snack packets were offered to students who participated directly in the sporting activities. Banners on National Sports Day were displayed at prominent locations across the venue, including on the playground itself.
The celebration was conducted in the spirit of the Government of India’s national sports initiative, Khelo India.
