National Sports Day 2026 was observed at Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Varanasi under the theme “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat” (India Will Play, India Will Win) through two complementary programmes — a School Students’ Sports Awareness Activity and a Cycle Rally — organised in accordance with the directives received from Belur Math.
Programme 1: School Students’ Sports Awareness Activity
A Sports Awareness Activity was organised for school students as part of the National Sports Day observance. 60 students drawn from different schools of the region participated in the event. Each participant was assigned a subject by draw of slip and invited to speak on the same, fostering spontaneous expression and awareness of sports and physical culture. A banner was prominently displayed at the venue in keeping with the theme of the day.
A panel of 3 teachers served as judges for the activity. At the conclusion of the programme, a sumptuous tiffin was served to all participants.
