National Youth Day 2018, Bhubaneshwar

National Youth Day was celebrated with fervor and enthusiasm on 12th January 2018 at Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar, comprising a Youth Rally and a seminar. Around 400 youths mostly from Schools & colleges of Bhubaneswar participated in it.

In the morning the colorful rally, starting from the Ashrama premises went through the Bhimatangi areas of Old Town before coming to an end at the Ashrama again.

Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Dr S.C. Jamir inaugurated the seminar at 10.00 a.m. as the chief guest and also addressed the assembled young participants to follow the ideal of Swami Vivekananda’s message for the regeneration of India.

Swami Brahmeshananda  was the chief speaker. Prof. Surendranath Pasupalak , V.C. of Odisha University of Agriculture and Training and Prof. Tattwakandar Mishra also spoke on that occasion.

Swami Atmaprabhananda, Secretary of the Ashrama, delivered the welcome and introductory speech.

Hon’ble Governor also unveiled a life size portrait of Swamiji which was installed in front of the Vivekananda Hall in the Ashrama premises. The programme came to an end at about 1.30 p.m.
