On 12 January 2026, Ramakrishna Math, Bhuj, celebrated National Youth Day through a series of collaborative programs and educational lectures aimed at spreading the message of Swami Vivekananda among the youth of Kutch, Gujarat.
Main Celebration at Bidada
In collaboration with Ramakrishna Seva Mandal (an affiliated Bhava Prachar centre), a major event was held in Bidada, featuring:
- Youth Participation: About 800 young students from various parts of Kutch attended the celebration.
- Cultural Performances: The program included devotional songs, a drama based on the life of Swami Vivekananda, and extempore speeches focused on his messages.
- Guest Address: Mr. Jivan Bandopadhyay from Durgapur, West Bengal, was invited as a guest speaker and shared insights into various facets of Swamiji’s life and teachings.
- Distribution & Hospitality: Educational books were distributed to all student participants, and a commemorative lunch was provided to all students and guests.
Educational Lecture Series
In addition to the main event, the Math organized a series of lectures on the “Life and Message of Swami Vivekananda” at several prominent educational institutions. Approximately 700 students participated across the following locations:
- Sarada Niketan School, Bidada
- Matrichhaya School, Bhuj
- Lalan College, Bhuj
- Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Dhaneti
