Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, celebrated National Youth Day on 12 January 2026 with immense fervor. Despite the ongoing Sankranti vacation, the event saw a remarkable turnout of nearly 1,000 students, teachers, and devotees for the inaugural garlanding ceremony at Swami Vivekananda’s statue on Tank Bund Road. This was followed by a vibrant and spirited rally titled the “Awakening India” Walk.
The celebrations continued with a massive Youth Convention, which drew approximately 2,500 students from various colleges across the city. The convention featured a series of inspiring and thoughtful sessions focused on Swamiji’s message to the youth. To encourage spiritual and personal growth, every participant was presented with a book by Swami Vivekananda, a photograph, and a participation certificate. A major highlight of the day was the exceptional cultural programme presented by the students of Vivekananda Bala Vikas Kendra, whose performances deeply moved the audience and showcased the values taught at the Sunday moral education centre.
