On Monday, 12 January 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur (C.G.), celebrated National Youth Day at the Vivekananda Satsang Bhavan. The proceedings began at 9:45 a.m. with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Vedic chanting.
Swami Prapattyananda delivered the welcome address, introducing the Chief Guest, Shri S. K. Jadhav, Professor and In-charge of the School of Biotechnology Sciences at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. In his keynote lecture, “The Source of Inspiration for Youth – Swami Vivekananda,” Shri Jadhav highlighted the practical application of Swamiji’s ideals in achieving personal success, building character, and fostering national strength.
The gathering was also addressed by Swami Prapattyananda and Swami Yogasthananda. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Swami Padmakshananda. Approximately 350 students (boys and girls) attended the event. All participants received snacks, fruits, booklets on Swami Vivekananda, and copies of the Vivek Jyoti magazine.
