On January 12, 2026, Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, commemorated National Youth Day with a series of vibrant events involving approximately 1,150 students from nine local schools, including Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala.
The celebrations commenced at 3:00 p.m. at Cheluvamba Park, where Swami Muktidananda (Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru) performed Arati at the statue of Swami Vivekananda. This was followed by a spirited 3-km procession to the Vidyashala campus. Led by a decorated chariot carrying a portrait of Swamiji, students marched with banners and placards highlighting his life-giving messages.
Upon arriving at the campus, participants were served refreshments before gathering at the open-air theatre for a formal program. Under the presence of Swamis Muktidananda, Yukteshananda, and Mahamedhananda, students showcased their talents through devotional songs, recitations, and speeches in both Kannada and English. To honor their participation, students received books and mementoes. The event concluded with the distribution of snacks to all attendees.
