Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home, Chennai, inaugurated the newly acquired machineries and equipment for its Polytechnic College. The event marked a significant upgrade to the workshop, basic engineering, and physics laboratories, enhancing the educational resources available to students. The project was made possible through the generous sponsorship from Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL), Hyderabad.
Swami Dharmishthananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home, expressed deep gratitude to TASL for their support, highlighting the strong connection between the institution and the company. He noted that over 140 alumni of the Polytechnic College are currently employed at TASL, Hyderabad, a testament to the quality of education provided.
Swami Satyajnanananda ji, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, inaugurated the new facilities, and Ms. Srikruti Gentela, CSR, TASL, formally dedicated the equipment to the Polytechnic College. Ms. Gentela also expressed appreciation for the positive attitude and active participation of the Polytechnic College alumni within TASL.
Swami Jnanaswarupananda further emphasized the longstanding and historical relationship between the Ramakrishna Mission and the House of Tatas, tracing its roots back to the time of Swami Vivekananda and Jamshetji Tata.
