A one-day spiritual retreat was conducted at Ramakrishna Math, Konampatti, Sivakasi, on 28 June 2026, for the benefit of devotees. The programme was organised with a view to deepening the spiritual life of participants through a series of devotional and reflective activities.
The retreat included lectures, group discussions, and Akhanda Nama Japam, accompanied by pushpanjali and bhajans. Swami Gunarnavananda, from Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, graced the occasion as the guest monk. He delivered a discourse to the assembled devotees and led the bhajans during the programme.
As part of the day’s proceedings, devotees shared their personal reminiscences of how they had first come into contact with Sri Ramakrishna and the Ramakrishna Movement, fostering a spirit of shared devotion and reflection among those present. A special discount on the Math’s literature and publications was also made available to participants on the occasion.
Around 165 devotees took part in the retreat. Snacks and cooked prasad were served to all participants throughout the day, from morning till evening.
