A day-long Nirjanabas (spiritual retreat) and Japayajna was organized at Ramakrishna Mission, Krishnanagar, on Sunday, 14th June 2026. The programme, which spanned from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., was attended by 55 devout participants.
The day commenced in the Swami Vishuddhananda Hall with Japa (repetition of the divine name), followed by Kar-seva (voluntary service) in the Temple, Yoga, chanting of Vedic mantras, prayer, and meditation, after which breakfast was served. The post-breakfast session featured an inspiring discourse on the Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi by a monastic member. This was followed by an interactive session where the devotees themselves enthusiastically participated in discussions on the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, and Swami Vivekananda, interspersed with devotional singing. The morning session concluded with lunch Prasad and a brief period of rest.
The afternoon session resumed at 4:00 p.m. with Japa, meditation, devotional songs, and further spiritual discourses, followed by a brief tea break. The evening segment included insightful discourses by monastic members, after which attendees joined the evening prayer (Arati) and attended a spiritual class. The day-long retreat successfully concluded with the distribution of dinner Prasad to all participants.
