From 25 to 27 March 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Gurap, observed the sacred Annapurna Puja. The three-day celebration was marked by special pujas and Homa in the presence of Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj, senior monks, and a large gathering of devotees.

Key highlights of the event included:

  • Infrastructure: On 25 March, the newly constructed “Annapurna Bhavan” was formally inaugurated by Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj.
  • Sadhu Bhandara & Prasad Distribution: On the main festival day (26 March), a Sadhu Bhandara was organized for 53 monastics. Additionally, cooked prasad was served to approximately 4,800 devotees (Nara-Narayanas) who were seated in the new Annapurna Bhavan.
  • Immersion Procession: On 27 March, the images of Divine Mother Annapurna and Lord Shiva were taken in a ceremonial procession through the village roads before immersion in a local pond. The event saw significant participation from the village residents.
