Ramakrishna Math, Gourhati, celebrated its three-day annual function on 9, 10 and 11 January 2026, followed by a cultural programme on 12 January 2026.
9 January 2026 – Youth Convention
A Youth Convention was organized on the first day, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from 579 students and 30 teachers representing 20 schools. The programme focused on value education and Swamiji’s message for youth.
10 January 2026 – Swami Vivekananda’s Tithi Puja
Swamiji’s Tithi Puja was observed with great devotion. Approximately 7800 devotees from Gourhati and surrounding villages partook of afternoon prasad, making it one of the major gatherings of the celebration.
11 January 2026 – Devotee Convention
A Devotee Convention was conducted on the final day of the annual celebration, attended by 438 devotees along with 120 admirers. Spiritual discourses and devotional activities enriched the devotional atmosphere.
Cultural Programmes
Evening cultural programmes were held on all days:
- 9 January – Baul songs
- 10 January – Jatra Pala: Suryaputra Karna, performed by Sri Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Nimpith
- 11 January – Devotional songs and Nritya-Tattva by students of the Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP) of the centre
- 12 January – Kirtan performance
The multi-day celebration was marked by devotion, cultural vibrancy, and active participation from students, devotees, and the local community.d culturally enriching experience for all participants.
