A three-day spiritual retreat was organised by Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur from 12 to 14 September 2026, to commemorate the anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago Address and the Seventh Anniversary of Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur. The retreat brought together approximately 70 devotees and offered a comprehensive programme of meditation, worship, bhajans, spiritual discourses, devotional presentations, and interactive sessions.
Day One — Saturday, 12 September 2026
The retreat commenced with all devotees offering Arati to the Holy Trio. Swami Vimokshananda delivered a discourse on the spiritual bond, love, and devotion between Swami Vivekananda and Swami Ramakrishnananda. Ms. Manasa presented a devotional bhajan. The programme also included a reading of the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, followed by an explanation.

Day Three — Monday, 14 September 2026
The concluding day marked the Seventh Anniversary of Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur. Special Puja and Homa were performed for Sri Ramakrishna. Devotees also offered special Puja and Homa to Lord Ganesha. The day’s programme included spiritual discourses and bhajans by the monks of the Math, bringing the retreat to a contemplative and spiritually enriching close.
The three-day retreat provided devotees with an opportunity to deepen their spiritual practices through prayer, meditation, worship, sacred music, and scriptural reflection.
