Sri Ramakrishna Sharadashrama, Ponnampet organised a ‘Youth Convention’ on 29 August 2023.
Around 330 students from 3 colleges (CIT-Engineering college, Saishankar B Ed College & Govt. Junior College, Ponnampet ) participated in the programme.
The theme of the programme was ‘Swami Vivekananda’s Ideas for Indian Youth’. The speakers were Swami Muktidananda, Adhyaksha , Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysore; Swami Tyagishwarananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Davanagere; Swami Bodhaswarupananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor, Bangalore; Swami Mahamedhananda, Correspondent, RIMSE, Mysore.
Lunch was provided to all participants. Each participating student was presented with a copy of the book “Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address” and “Divyatrayaru — Life & Teachings of Holy Trio” in Kannada. The Speakers were honoured with the literature of Swamiji.
The participants were enthusiastic and there was a good response from them.
