Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Visakhapatnam, successfully conducted a series of leadership camps for National Service Scheme (NSS) students from local colleges and universities between July and August 2024. These camps aimed to develop leadership qualities, personal growth, and social responsibility among the participants.
Camp Schedule
- July: A series of one-day leadership camps were successfully conducted.
- August:
- August 3rd: The fourth one-day camp was held, with 221 students, 8 lecturers, and 10 guests in attendance. Speakers included Swami Gitasarananda, , Sri Ravi Kiran Idara, IRS, Additional Director General, Central Customs Training and Dr. Ravikanth, Dy. Director Career Counselling and Guidance, GITAM University.
- August 10th: The fifth and final one-day camp took place, with 141 students, 6 lecturers, and 8 guests participating. Eminent speakers included Smt. K.V. Umadevi, Sr. Director, Career Counselling and Guidance, GITAM University, Kum. Gopika Chaganti, COO, Quantam AI Global, and Sri DVS Ramesh Garu of Minerva Educational and Sri Shanka Brata Bagchi, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam.
Camp Activities
The camps included interactive sessions, panel discussions, and practical workshops focused on leadership development, career guidance, and social issues. Participants engaged in discussions, shared their perspectives, and participated in a yoga session for overall well-being.
