Annual Technical Exhibition: Asansol, January 2026

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Asansol

The Industrial Training Institute (ITI) of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Asansol, successfully conducted its two-day Annual Technical Exhibition on January 19th and 20th, 2026. The event, held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the institute premises, was designed to showcase the technical proficiency, innovative thinking, and creative capabilities of the trainees.


Exhibition Highlights

  • Trade Participation: Trainees from all six trades of the institute actively participated, including:
    • Electrician
    • Fitter
    • Welder
    • COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant)
    • A.C. & Refrigeration
    • Tailoring Unit
  • Displays: The trainees presented a wide array of working models, technical projects, tools, and charts. These exhibits demonstrated their hands-on training and clear understanding of modern industrial technologies and practices.
  • Evaluation and Awards: All participating units received awards in recognition of their performance. The Electrician Unit was honored with the First Prize.

Distinguished Guests and Attendance

The exhibition was well-attended by the monks of the Ashrama and several prominent figures from industry, academia, and the local government. Notable guests included:

  • Industrial Leaders: Mr. U.P. Singh (ED, P&A) and Mr. Vijender Veer (CGM, TS & CSR) from SAIL-ISP; Sri Madan Mohan Kumar (GM, Mining) of Eastern Coal Fields Ltd.; and Sri Subhas Agarwal (CMD) of Maithan Alloys Ltd..
  • Academic and Public Figures: Prof. (Dr.) Uday Bandyopadhyay, Vice-Chancellor of Kazi Nazrul University, and Sri Tapas Banerjee, MLA of Raniganj.
  • Organization Representatives: Sri Hari Narayan Misra (Managing Director, Misra Associates) and Sri Tapan Chatterjee, President of the RKMA Managing Committee.

The dignitaries expressed their satisfaction with the high quality of training provided at the institute and commended the trainees’ efforts.
